Effective date: [Effective Date]
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Unscribo, including our website, account features, cancellation tools, document-generation services, mailing services, subscription-management tools, subscription services, and related functionality.
By using Unscribo or purchasing a paid Service, you agree to these Terms.
Important: You are not required to purchase Unscribo’s paid cancellation service in order to cancel a subscription with a Provider. Where available, you may generate or download a cancellation letter through Unscribo and send it yourself. If you choose our paid cancellation service, you are paying Unscribo for the additional service of processing and dispatching your Cancellation Request on your behalf.
Please read these Terms carefully, particularly the sections concerning cancellation services, recurring payments, refunds, subscription management, and limitations of liability.

1. About Unscribo
Unscribo provides tools and services intended to help consumers prepare, manage, submit, send, and track requests to cancel subscriptions, memberships, contracts, and other recurring services held with third-party Providers.
Unscribo may also provide tools designed to help Users organize their subscriptions, monitor renewal dates, track trial periods, and receive reminders relating to upcoming renewals or cancellation deadlines.
Unscribo is operated by:
[Legal Company Name]
[Company Address]
[City, State, ZIP]
United States
Customer support: [support email]
Unscribo is an independent service and is not affiliated with the companies or Providers that Users may choose to cancel unless explicitly stated otherwise.
2. Definitions
For purposes of these Terms:
“Unscribo,” “we,” “us,” or “our” means the operator of the Unscribo platform.
“User,” “you,” or “your” means any person accessing or using Unscribo.
“Provider” means a third-party company, organization, or other entity with which you have a subscription, membership, contract, or recurring arrangement.
“Cancellation Letter” means a document generated or made available through Unscribo for the purpose of requesting cancellation of an agreement with a Provider.
“Cancellation Request” means information, documentation, correspondence, or instructions prepared or transmitted through Unscribo for the purpose of requesting cancellation of an agreement with a Provider.
“Paid Cancellation Service” means a Service through which a User pays Unscribo to process, transmit, mail, or otherwise dispatch a Cancellation Request on the User’s behalf.
“Subscription Management Tools” means features that may allow Users to record or manage subscriptions, costs, renewal dates, trial periods, cancellation deadlines, reminders, and related information.
“Services” means the website, software, cancellation tools, document-generation functionality, postal-mailing services, account functionality, Subscription Management Tools, paid subscription features, and any other services offered by Unscribo.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to purchase paid Unscribo Services.
By using the Services, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have authority to submit any Cancellation Request made through your account.
You may not use Unscribo to cancel an agreement belonging to another person unless you are legally authorized to act on that person’s behalf.
4. Nature of the Service
Unscribo assists Users with managing and cancelling subscriptions and other recurring agreements.
Depending on the functionality available and the Service selected, Unscribo may:
- locate or provide Provider cancellation information;
- generate Cancellation Letters;
- allow Users to download Cancellation Letters;
- prepare cancellation documentation;
- electronically transmit Cancellation Requests where supported;
- arrange for Cancellation Letters to be printed and mailed;
- provide records relating to Cancellation Requests;
- allow Users to manage multiple subscriptions or cancellations;
- track renewal dates or cancellation deadlines;
- provide reminders relating to subscriptions or trials; and
- provide paid or subscription-based access to additional functionality.
Unscribo is not the Provider with whom your original subscription or contract exists.
Using Unscribo does not transfer your original agreement with the Provider to Unscribo, and Unscribo does not obtain authority to modify the terms of your agreement with that Provider.
5. Free Self-Service and Paid Cancellation Service
5.1 Free self-service option
Where Unscribo makes this functionality available, Users may generate or download a Cancellation Letter and submit or send that letter to the Provider themselves without purchasing Unscribo’s Paid Cancellation Service.
The availability of a free Cancellation Letter does not mean that postal charges, Provider charges, cancellation fees, or other third-party costs are waived.
5.2 Paid cancellation option
Users may alternatively choose to purchase a Paid Cancellation Service.
When you purchase this Service, you are paying Unscribo for the additional convenience and work involved in processing, preparing for dispatch, transmitting, mailing, or otherwise sending the Cancellation Request on your behalf, as described at checkout.
5.3 Payment is not required to exercise your cancellation rights
Unscribo does not charge Users for the legal right to cancel an agreement with a Provider.
Where the free self-service option is available, purchasing the Paid Cancellation Service is optional.
A User may choose to handle the cancellation independently instead.
5.4 Clear choice before payment
Before a User purchases a Paid Cancellation Service, Unscribo will display the applicable price and describe the Service being purchased.
Where both options are available, the distinction between handling the cancellation yourself and purchasing Unscribo’s Paid Cancellation Service will be presented before payment.
5.5 No affiliation with the Provider
Payment to Unscribo is separate from any payment obligation you may have toward the Provider.
Unscribo does not receive payment on behalf of the Provider unless expressly stated otherwise.
6. No Guarantee of Cancellation
Unscribo does not control third-party Providers and therefore cannot guarantee that a Provider will accept, process, or complete a Cancellation Request.
Providers may impose their own requirements, including:
- notice periods;
- minimum contract terms;
- identity verification;
- account-number requirements;
- cancellation fees;
- return-of-equipment requirements;
- outstanding-balance requirements;
- telephone verification;
- written-notice requirements; or
- other contractual procedures.
A Cancellation Request generated or sent through Unscribo should not be interpreted as confirmation that the underlying contract has been terminated.
You remain responsible for confirming cancellation with the Provider.
7. Continuing Charges From Providers
Submitting a Cancellation Request through Unscribo does not itself guarantee that recurring charges from a Provider will immediately stop.
A Provider may continue billing until it has processed the cancellation in accordance with its own contract terms and applicable law.
Unscribo is not responsible for subscription fees, renewal fees, cancellation penalties, notice-period charges, or other amounts charged by a Provider after a Cancellation Request has been submitted, except to the extent such loss results directly from Unscribo’s own legally actionable conduct.
Users should review their Provider accounts and payment statements after requesting cancellation.
8. User Information and Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and current information.
This may include:
- your name;
- mailing address;
- email address;
- Provider name;
- Provider account number;
- membership or subscription information;
- customer reference numbers; and
- other information required to identify the agreement to be cancelled.
Unscribo may rely on information you provide without independently verifying its accuracy.
You are responsible for reviewing cancellation information before submission where Unscribo provides an opportunity to do so.
Unscribo is not responsible for unsuccessful or delayed cancellation caused by incorrect, outdated, misleading, or incomplete information supplied by the User.
9. Third-Party Provider Information
Unscribo may maintain information about Providers, including mailing addresses, cancellation procedures, contact information, or other service details.
We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate Provider information, but Providers may change their procedures or contact information without notifying Unscribo.
Provider information is therefore supplied for convenience and may change.
Where practical, Unscribo may update or correct Provider information after becoming aware of a change.
10. Mailing and Delivery Services
Where a User purchases a postal cancellation service, Unscribo may use third-party printing, fulfillment, postal, or delivery providers to prepare and dispatch correspondence.
Delivery dates and processing times displayed by Unscribo are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.
Once correspondence has been transferred to a postal carrier or other delivery provider, actual delivery may be affected by circumstances outside Unscribo’s control, including:
- postal delays;
- incorrect Provider addresses;
- returned or undeliverable mail;
- carrier disruptions;
- weather events;
- governmental disruptions;
- labor disputes; or
- Provider mail-processing delays.
Unscribo may provide mailing or transaction records where available, but such records do not necessarily establish that the Provider has processed the underlying cancellation.
11. Orders and Formation of the Agreement
A purchase agreement between you and Unscribo is formed when you submit an order and Unscribo accepts the order or begins performing the requested paid Service.
Before payment, the applicable price and material terms of the selected Service will be displayed.
The purchase of a Paid Cancellation Service is separate from the underlying agreement between you and the Provider you wish to cancel.
12. Prices and Payment
Prices for paid Services are displayed before purchase and may vary depending on the Service selected.
By completing a purchase, you authorize Unscribo and its payment processors to charge the payment method you select for the amount clearly disclosed at checkout.
Taxes may be added where required by applicable law.
Unscribo may change prices for future purchases at any time.
A price change will not retroactively alter the price of a completed one-time transaction.
Purchasing a one-time Paid Cancellation Service does not by itself create a recurring Unscribo subscription. If a recurring subscription is offered, its price, billing frequency, renewal terms, and cancellation method will be separately disclosed before enrollment.
13. Subscription Management and Renewal Reminders
Unscribo may provide Subscription Management Tools intended to help Users organize and monitor recurring expenses.
Depending on the functionality available, Users may be able to record or monitor:
- subscription names;
- recurring costs;
- billing frequency;
- renewal dates;
- trial expiration dates;
- cancellation deadlines;
- notice periods; and
- other subscription-related information.
Unscribo may provide notifications or reminders concerning upcoming renewals, trial expirations, or cancellation deadlines.
These tools are provided as an organizational convenience and do not replace the User’s responsibility to monitor agreements and payment obligations.
13.1 Reminder limitations
Unscribo does not guarantee that every reminder will be delivered, received, or acted upon.
Delivery may be affected by incorrect User information, email filtering, device settings, telecommunications failures, technical interruptions, or other circumstances.
13.2 User responsibility
Users remain responsible for checking renewal dates, cancellation deadlines, Provider terms, and payment obligations.
A reminder from Unscribo does not itself cancel a subscription.
13.3 Provider changes
Providers may alter prices, billing dates, renewal conditions, trial periods, or cancellation requirements without notifying Unscribo.
Users should verify important information directly with the Provider where necessary.
14. Subscription Services and Automatic Renewal
Certain Unscribo features may be offered through a recurring paid subscription.
A recurring Unscribo subscription is separate from both:
- the User’s underlying agreement with a Provider; and
- any one-time Paid Cancellation Service purchased from Unscribo.
Before subscribing, Unscribo will display the material subscription terms, including:
- the subscription price;
- billing frequency;
- whether a trial or introductory period applies;
- when the first charge will occur;
- whether the subscription automatically renews; and
- how the subscription can be cancelled.
By intentionally completing a recurring subscription enrollment, you authorize Unscribo to charge the disclosed recurring fees to your selected payment method until the subscription is cancelled.
Unscribo will not treat the purchase of a one-time cancellation service as consent to recurring subscription charges unless the recurring subscription is separately and clearly presented and accepted.
15. Trial Periods
Where Unscribo offers a free or discounted trial for a recurring Unscribo subscription, the duration of the trial and the price and billing frequency that apply afterward will be displayed before enrollment.
A free trial of an Unscribo subscription does not necessarily make separately purchased Paid Cancellation Services free.
Unless otherwise stated at signup, a trial that converts into a paid subscription will become a paid subscription at the end of the disclosed trial period unless cancelled beforehand.
You may cancel during the trial period using the cancellation options made available through your account or customer support.
Where cancellation is completed before the paid subscription begins, no subsequent subscription charge will be made.
16. Cancelling an Unscribo Subscription
You may cancel an Unscribo subscription using the cancellation functionality provided through your account or by contacting customer support.
Cancellation prevents future renewal charges after the cancellation becomes effective.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly provided under our Refund Policy, cancelling a subscription does not automatically refund fees already charged for the current billing period.
Where applicable, subscription functionality may remain available until the end of an already-paid billing period.
17. Cancelling a Cancellation Request
If you ask Unscribo to stop a Cancellation Request before it has been processed or transmitted, we will make reasonable efforts to stop it.
Once a Cancellation Request has been transmitted to the Provider or transferred to a mailing or fulfillment provider for processing, Unscribo may no longer be able to stop or reverse it.
If the Cancellation Request has already been transmitted and you change your mind, you may need to contact the Provider directly to request continuation or reinstatement.
Unscribo cannot guarantee that the Provider will reinstate a cancelled subscription or contract.
18. Refund Policy
Unscribo’s applicable Refund Policy will be disclosed on the website and forms part of these Terms.
Where Unscribo offers a satisfaction guarantee, refund requests must comply with the conditions and request period displayed with that guarantee.
Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned to the original payment method.
Processing times may depend on the payment processor, financial institution, or card issuer.
Unscribo may refuse or restrict refund requests where there is reasonable evidence of:
- fraud;
- repeated refund abuse;
- misuse of the Services;
- unauthorized payment activity; or
- manipulation of promotional or refund programs.
Nothing in this section limits refund rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
19. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you do not recognize a charge or believe a billing error has occurred, we encourage you to contact Unscribo customer support so that we can investigate the transaction.
Nothing in these Terms prevents you from exercising any chargeback or payment-dispute rights available through your card issuer, bank, payment provider, or applicable law.
Fraudulent or intentionally abusive payment disputes may result in suspension of an account or restriction of future use of the Services.
20. Acceptable Use
You may use Unscribo only for lawful purposes.
You may not:
- submit fraudulent Cancellation Requests;
- impersonate another person;
- knowingly provide false information;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to Unscribo systems;
- interfere with the operation or security of the Services;
- use automated methods to scrape or reproduce substantial portions of the platform without permission;
- introduce malware or malicious software;
- use the Services to harass, defraud, or harm another person; or
- use Unscribo in violation of applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe the Services are being misused.
21. Account Security
Where Unscribo provides User accounts, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You must promptly notify us if you reasonably believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.
22. Privacy and Data Protection
Unscribo processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.
The Privacy Policy explains the categories of personal information we collect, why we process that information, how information may be retained, the service providers with whom information may be shared, and applicable privacy rights.
23. Third-Party Services
Unscribo may rely on third parties including payment processors, hosting providers, postal providers, fulfillment providers, analytics providers, communications providers, and other technology suppliers.
Unscribo is not responsible for interruptions or failures caused solely by independent third parties outside our reasonable control.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement unless expressly stated.
24. Intellectual Property
The Unscribo platform, software, branding, design, text, databases, graphics, workflows, and original content are owned by or licensed to Unscribo and may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for their intended purpose.
They do not transfer ownership of Unscribo intellectual property to you.
You may not reproduce, resell, commercially exploit, or systematically extract substantial portions of the Services except where authorized by Unscribo or permitted by law.
25. Feedback
If you voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback concerning Unscribo, we may use that feedback to improve or develop our Services without an obligation to compensate you, provided that doing so does not grant us rights to personal information beyond those described in our Privacy Policy.
26. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Unscribo provides the Services on an “as available” basis.
Unscribo does not warrant that:
- every Provider will accept a Cancellation Request;
- every cancellation will be completed within a particular period;
- Provider information will always remain unchanged;
- every subscription reminder will be successfully delivered;
- postal or electronic delivery will never be interrupted; or
- the Services will operate without interruption or technical error.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, statutory rights, or consumer protections that cannot legally be waived or limited.
27. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Unscribo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or relating to the use of the Services.
Unscribo is not responsible for losses caused by:
- incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information supplied by the User;
- a Provider’s refusal or delay in processing a Cancellation Request;
- Provider cancellation fees, penalties, or contract charges;
- continued billing by a Provider;
- a Provider changing its cancellation procedure, address, or requirements;
- postal, fulfillment, or delivery delays outside Unscribo’s reasonable control;
- a User failing to act upon a renewal or cancellation reminder;
- a reminder not being received due to technical, email, device, or telecommunications issues;
- incorrect renewal or subscription information supplied by the User;
- changes made by a Provider without notice to Unscribo; or
- circumstances constituting force majeure.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, Unscribo’s liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
28. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold Unscribo harmless from third-party claims resulting from:
- your unlawful use of the Services;
- fraudulent or knowingly false information supplied by you;
- infringement of another person’s rights;
- Cancellation Requests you were not authorized to make; or
- your material violation of these Terms.
This provision does not require you to indemnify Unscribo for losses caused by Unscribo’s own unlawful conduct or where such indemnification is prohibited by applicable law.
29. Service Availability
We may temporarily suspend, restrict, or modify access to some or all of the Services for maintenance, security, technical issues, suspected fraud, legal compliance, system updates, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the availability of the Services, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Temporary unavailability of the Services does not automatically entitle a User to compensation except where required by applicable law.
30. Force Majeure
Unscribo will not be responsible for failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from events reasonably outside its control.
Such events may include:
- natural disasters;
- severe weather;
- fires or floods;
- telecommunications or internet failures;
- cyberattacks;
- postal or delivery interruptions;
- labor disputes;
- government actions;
- war or civil unrest;
- epidemics or public-health emergencies; or
- failures of critical third-party infrastructure.
Where practical, Unscribo will take reasonable steps to reduce the effects of such events and resume affected Services.
31. Changes to the Services
Unscribo may modify, improve, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features of the Services from time to time.
Where a material change negatively affects an existing paid recurring subscription, Unscribo will provide notice where required by applicable law.
Changes to free features may be made without prior notice unless applicable law requires otherwise.
32. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Services, business practices, legal requirements, or regulatory obligations.
Updated Terms will display a revised Effective Date.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide advance notice of material changes.
Changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise permitted by applicable law.
Continued use of the Services after revised Terms become effective may constitute acceptance of those revised Terms where permitted by applicable law.
33. Complaints and Customer Support
Questions, complaints, refund requests, billing questions, or requests relating to an Unscribo subscription may be submitted to:
[support email]
Please provide sufficient information for us to identify the relevant account, order, Cancellation Request, or transaction.
We will make reasonable efforts to investigate and respond to complaints promptly.
34. Governing Law
These Terms and disputes relating to them will be governed by the laws of [State], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws or other applicable laws provide otherwise.
Any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable federal, state, or local law remain unaffected.
35. Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction
Unless applicable law provides otherwise, disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services may be brought before courts having competent jurisdiction in [County, State].
Nothing in these Terms prevents a User from bringing a claim in another forum where applicable law gives the User a non-waivable right to do so.
Before initiating formal proceedings, Users are encouraged, but not required unless applicable law provides otherwise, to contact Unscribo so that the parties may attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
36. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
37. No Waiver
Failure by Unscribo to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Any waiver will be effective only to the extent expressly stated.
38. Assignment
Unscribo may transfer or assign its rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate restructuring, sale of assets, financing transaction, or transfer of the Unscribo business, subject to applicable law.
Users may not assign or transfer their rights or obligations under these Terms without Unscribo’s consent where such restriction is permitted by applicable law.
39. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any applicable order terms, checkout disclosures, subscription disclosures, Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and other policies expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement between you and Unscribo regarding your use of the Services.
In the event of a conflict between these Terms and specific terms clearly presented and accepted in connection with a particular paid Service, the specific terms for that Service will apply to the extent of that conflict, subject to applicable law.
